22) Five Citroen GSA commercials

These Citroen GSA commercials emphasize the qualities of hydropneumatic suspension: Smooth ride, controlled behaviour if a tyre bursts, and quite unique ability to actually drive on three wheels.
I haven't tried to drive any of my cars on three wheels (yet), but I did have a flat tyre at 130 km/h on German Autobahn back in 1995 - with three passengers in my GSX. One of them started to panic a bit, but the car stayed totally stable, and under full control.

21) Citromobile 2010

In May 2010, it was Citromobile-time again. Slightly different crew: a friend Rok, who lives nearby, my brother and myself. We all drive GSes, and it was Rok's white GS Pallas which was chosen for this trip. The same drill as before: long drive to the Netherlands, lots of things to see & buy at the fair, then a long way home.

20) West Coast Citroen Rendez-vous in Salinas, California (2009)

In June & July 2009, I was on a business trip in San Jose, California. What a great opportunity to attend the largest annual Citroen event on the West coast. So I drove from San Jose to Salinas, and made this video.

19) Citromobile 2009

In May 2009, we drove to Utrecht, Netherlands again. The same crew as in 2004: Tomaž, my brother and yours truly. But a different car - Tomaž wanted to go with his XM Break as he had planned to buy some large car parts.
No family pit-stop this time around, my aunt & uncle had moved from Wiesbaden to the USA just a few weeks earlier.

18) Hidroraid 2008

"Hidroraid" is an annual gathering dedicated to Citroens with hydraulic suspension (but other cars are welcome, too).
The first Hidroraid was held in July 2002, and the number of participants has been rising steadily since then.
The event takes place in Eastern Slovenia, in a region called "Prlekija". This is a land of rolling hills with vineyards, and dotted with thermal spas. Wine and food is excellent. The raid is essentially a convoy drive from one point of interest to another, with great food served for lunch, and a visit to one of many wineries. People come from Slovenia & the neighbouring countries (Croatia, Austria, Hungary), and also from more distant places.
I visited Hidroraid several times, with several different cars. In 2008, my kids and I went there with our XM.

17) Friendship Day 2008 in Redwood City, California

In May 2008, I was on a business trip in San Jose, California.
So I got to attend the Friendship Day 2008, held in Redwood City. Even better, I went there with Chuck and Dee in their 2CV. A lot of classic cars were on display, including some Citroens.

16) Citromobile 2004

Citromobile is a large fair held each year in early May in the Netherlands. In 2004, we drove there with my brother and a friend named Tomaž. The car was orange GS Club made in 1975 and owned by Tomaž. We also visited relatives along the way. It's about 1200 km from Slovenia to Utrecht, so a family pit-stop comes handy.

15) CXes in Chicago (April 2001)

I had a long stopover at O'Hare airport in Chicago.
So I got in touch with Jeff and Gus, CX owners who lived in town.
We drove from the airport to downtown, spent some time there, and then I had to return to the airport so I would not miss my flight to Europe.
Two CXes in downtown and on expressways around Chicago, I guess this does not happen very often.

14) Two 2CVs in New York (April 2001)

With a colleague from work, we drove from Raleigh NC to Philadelphia to visit Mirza.
Then we drove to New York with Mirza's 2CV. We also met up with Jorge, another 2CV driver.
Two 2CVs driving around Manhattan, that's quite a rare sight. A lot of people showing thumbs-up, some asking: "Is that a Volks-Waggon?!"
I couldn't believe all the attention - we felt like celebrities.

13) GS2000 event in the Netherlands (August 2000)

Citroen GS was introduced in 1970.
Dutch GS/GSA club organised a special meeting to celebrate 30th anniversary of GS, which took place in August 2000.
I drove there with my brother in his GS Pallas.

12) Lots of old Citroens in Waco, Texas (1999)

In August 1999, we visited bRad in Waco, Texas.
See his collection of old Citroens on the video.

11) Driving a 2CV in Philadelphia (July 1999)

In July 1999, we went to Philadelphia and visited Mirza, a 2CV legend.
He took us to downtown area in his 2CV.

10) Dyane in Paris (1997)

Driving around Paris with our Dyane (August 1997).

9) Dyane in the Netherlands (1997)

Driving around Utrecht, looking for windmills.
Also visiting Kinderdijk.

8) Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse (July 1997)

Our Dyane on the Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse in July 1997.
Grossglockner is the highest mountain in Austria. We started in Heiligenblut, drove up to Kaiser Franz-Josefs Hoehe, and then to Edelweiss Spitze.
